Horsehair is a rather coarse and demanding material, and patience and experience are required in order to use it.

The cooperation of two great Buryat artists - of a painter, Albina Tsybikova, and a tapestry maker, Baiarma Dambieva marked a really important period in the development of Buryat horsehair tapestry.
"Tapestry for me is a way to express myself and my attitude and understanding of the world, to share my ideas- through the combination of colors and tones, one can express not only the transparency of air and the depth of space, but the subtleties of ideas and spirit. My inspirations? Nature. The rolling bold hills of my native Aga, Onon
The slow melody of the steppe. Anything can provoke the creation of a tapestry... a leaf, a tree, a blade of grass, a birch-bark ... inspire a design for my work."
